Join Carraig Bán CCÉ, Craobh Loch Garman CCÉ and the Wexford County Board of Comhaltas for a relaxed and enriching weekend of music, song, dance, and an teanga Gaeilge.

Musical instrument workshops & masterclasses

Explore a wide array of musical instrument workshops and masterclasses led by prominent tutors. Carraig Bán CCÉ have gathered together a fabulous line-up of tutors for advanced players and are also catering for intermediate standard players through their mixed instrument offering. The workshops take place in the Faythe School on Saturday January 31st commencing at 10 a.m.

Set dancing céilí

Experience the joy of traditional Irish dance at the set dancing céilí with the wonderful Legacy Céilí Band. Many people experienced the joys of set dancing at the outdoor and indoor céilís at the 2025 Comhaltas Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann and here's a great opportunity to further enjoy a great night and dust off the dancing shoes. Wexford County Board of Comhaltas are running the event with the support of Pettit's Supervalu. Hup!

 

Informal sessions for Teens/young adults & Irish language events/sessions

Carraig Bán CCÉ fosters a welcoming environment for young people to participate in informal sessions. Enjoy the camaraderie of young fellow musicians in an alcohol-free setting and a wonderful opportunity to play a session with James McCaffrey and Micky Curran of the renowned Blackwater Céilí Band at the Tutor-led youth session on Saturday January 31st.  On Sunday, Lá Fhéile Bhríde, get a chance to speak and play trad music le chéile as Gaeilge! Enjoy a cupán tae at a pop-up Gaeltacht! It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with Irish culture and create lasting memories.

 

Other Events 

Craobh Loch Garman CCÉ/Wexford Town Comhaltas are running a family-friendly TRISCO on Saturday January 31st in the Talbot Slaney Suite.  This follows the above tutor-led session.  On Sunday, Lá Fhéile Bhríde, they take part in the SMITHWICK'S TRADTRAIL with their ever-popular Roving Session - a feast of music, song and dnace for all ages and musical abilities.
